I have a recurring daydream of a kind of world where we see quanitifed economics in real time over the top of whatever it is we're using, in a HUD (I guess an AR system). This scratches that itch a bit, very interesting.

I'd be completely dreadful of that. Sounds like the setting of some dystopian world.

Yeah it would be pretty debilitating, imagining in it actual use. Turn on a propane stove while camping and watch the cents of energy use tick away slowly. Forget to wear sunscreen and see likelihood of skin cancer go up a few hundredths of a percent.
