If that promo picture is anything to go by I think we missed out on a "so bad it's good" opportunity

If it was going to be anything like how the Artemis Fowl movie ended up being, y'all dodged a huge bullet. I'm still sad about AF.
It's a tricky one but if not done really well (or just done cynically to start a franchise) I could imagine it being awfully cheesy. However, as the option has lapsed, it may be some with more enthusiasm for it might take it on.
