Oh wow! These CEOs really care and I really appreciate the extra effort they are putting in. This is what leadership is, staying late and getting the job done. I feel like I really understand where they are coming from and I know how much work they've been putting in. Three cheers, hip hip huzzah!

Ok now that we're done with the puffery can these fuckers hurry up? These CEOs are just putting on a dance and wasting everyone's time. They bang on the table long enough to say "we tried" and then ultimately give the union what they deserve. Yes I'm sure they'll "win" some small concession, but ultimately they just waste everyone's time and money.

The studios are feeling the squeeze so I expect a deal to be struck by Tuesday

I think they want to end things soon, otherwise there'd be no point in coming back after dinner for more negotiations

Yeah. The studios thought they could wait it out with the union, but they are finding it is just getting worse over time. That talk shows which were originally going to go back on decided to stay off must have caused some worries, since some studios must be seeing their new content reserves dwindling.
