I wish the right-wing spoiler candidate the very best o7

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Spoiler candidates for the Repubs sure are ok, right?

Not fair if it's a spoiler candidate for the Dems tho, right?!

[–] trevor@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not a question of fairness for me. It's a question of if it's more likely to bring good things or bad things. Spoiler for repugs = good. Spoiler for dems = bad.

So it's only unfair when it happens to democrats. But totally fair when it happens to republicans?

What do you think of the Green Party and the Socialist parties?

[–] trevor@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I never said anything about fairness. You keep fixating on it.

US electoral politics have nothing to do with fairness. They are downright anti-democratic. Gotta play the game and make as few tactical mistakes (like voting for Grifting Jill) as possible.

I support actual left-wing parties when they're viable, but Jill Stein and Cornell West need to fuck right out of presidential elections and end their grift. The Greens and other third-parties that run in other elections they can actually win have my support and my vote.

Agreed.

So anyway, god bless Chase Oliver, Jo Jorgensen, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, and all other right-wing spoiler candidates. We thank you for your service o7o7o7

Also, we had this exact same conversation a few weeks ago, and it's ...interesting... that it followed the exact same dialogue tree and not at all suspicious of the integrity of your account... 🤔

This guy openly admits that he "Doesn't care if Trump wins".

At a bare minimum we know that Genocide and Fascism aren't dealbreakers...

That plus the constant scripted propagandizing? Definitely a Trump Supporter...

This guy openly admits that he “Doesn’t care if Trump wins”.

Correct. I'm not afraid of him.

Definitely a Trump Supporter…

Nope. If I were a Trump supporter, I would vote for him. Thank you!

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Correct. I'm not afraid of him.

Congratulations on being privileged enough not to be affected by his policies. The rest of us recognize that many people will needlessly die under his and Republican leadership in general. Your issue is you don't think you'll be one of them, and you only care about yourself.

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Congratulations on being privileged enough not to be affected by his policies.

Congratulations on being so afraid of him that you support the duopoly that very much relies on you remaining afraid of any choices but theirs!

The rest of us recognize that many people will needlessly die under his and Republican leadership in general.

Half of the country is not voting for your candidate. So are they all just horrible people then? Welcome to democracy, friend.

[–] darharrison@lemm.ee 0 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Screaming hot take, apparently: If you know about Project 2025 and are fine that it might actually happen if Trump wins because it won't affect you, then you just might be a horrible person.

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 0 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Imagine not caring that books are going to get banned and trans kids are going to get taken from their supportive families. Imagine watching Fascism taking over your country and not giving a shit.

There's a word for people who don't care if the Nazis win. They're called Nazis.

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Shame on you.

Comparing people who disagree with you to Nazis downplays the real horrors and atrocities committed by the Nazis.

It trivializes what they actually stood for and the immense suffering they caused. Be careful with your words and focus on meaningful dialogue rather than throwing around such extreme accusations.

Let’s not water down history for the sake of an argument. We get it, you're mad I'm not voting for your candidate. Ok, move on. But implying people are Nazis because they are not voting for Harris, is too much. Even for you.

People like you make me very very happy and proud that I am voting Socialist. I want nothing to do with you and your hate.

Disgusting. I've blocked you so I won't see your horrid reply. You should be ashamed of yourself.

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

There’s a word for people who don’t care if the Nazis win. They’re called Nazis.

Are you implying that I'm a nazi simply because I'm not voting for Harris?

Are you calling the entire half of the United States of America, who are voting for Trump, Nazis!?

Say what, mate?!

You seem confused though. See, no Nazis are running for president. Do you know what year this is?

Actually it doesn't matter. Your implications and accusations are so disgusting, I won't be interacting with you.

The hatefulness of your comments and comparing me or other voters to Nazi's is has gone too far.

People like you make me very very happy and proud that I am voting Socialist. I want nothing to do with you and your hate.

Feel free to reply on every post and comment of mine, but I won't see it. Because I've blocked you. Ewww.

You can't predict the weather. Saying for sure that the election is going to go in any particular direction in a public forum is highly irresponsible. Just because you don't want to take an election seriously doesn't mean no one should.

P.S.: The statement at the end is highly pompous, sounds like an AI wrote it, and fails to contribute to the conversation at hand.

Saying for sure that the election is going to go in any particular direction in a public forum is highly irresponsible

No it's not. Do you think that Lemmy members are that weak-minded?

The statement at the end is highly pompous

No it's not. And you think a sentence I wrote telling you to message the news org or mods is an AI message?! Ok.

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Every time you accuse me of being "afraid of Trump", you're just further validating everyone's suspicion that you are a Trump supporter trying to sow discord.

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -4 points 1 month ago

Believe what you want to believe friend. I don't have to prove anything to you. Feel free to block me if I annoy you that much.

Also, we had this exact same conversation a few weeks ago,

And I haven't changed my mind. That's not "suspicious," that's me not changing my mind.

You haven't changed your mind, does that mean your account is suddenly "suspicious"?

To cut through the nonsense and save everyone time, especially since many in this community have a habit of resorting to personal attacks when responding to my posts recently: I support and respect everyone’s right to vote for who they want to.

I'm just posting this article that’s already available on a much bigger platform than Lemmy—I didn’t write it, just sharing it for discussion.

I’m clarifying all of this due to past posters refusing to refrain from insults, as well as repeated baseless accusations that I’m a Republican, Russian, and/or that I'm not even an American citizen (sorry guys, I'm all American).
