That Dak contract was a joke when it was signed, and it keeps getting more hilarious.

It's Jerry Jones' 82nd Birthday today. Cowboys:

So hell no, there's nobody that could f---ing come in here and do all the contracts … and be a GM any better than I can.

Keep on being you, Jerruh

We have some octogenarian owners that have the exact same mentality and everyone is wondering wtf is gonna happen to our jobs when they die.m, but they don’t give a shit.

Oh that was glorious. Freaking Shame about Hutchinson though

[–] TheCelticPirate@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And it still felt like a loss after losing Hutch.

Yeah it's like pyrric victory. Great one, but also a loss. Sucks man coz Lions are looking good. Let's hope he gets back in time for home stretch.

He won't be able to. That injury is like 6-9 months. The photo I saw was extremely gross. His shin basically wrapped around another dudes shin.

[–] chonglibloodsport@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I count myself lucky. I was watching the game and I got distracted for a moment when the injury happened. I’m thankful they decided not to show a replay. Many years ago I saw the Raptors’ Jorge Garbajosa have his shin snap like a twig on the court. That was UGLY!

[–] RandAlThor@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

OMG. Gross. Glad I didn't click on those links. NBC said it was "fractured" so I thought, maybe it's not so bad.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

Oh no.

That was no fracture lol.

[–] 474D@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Dude his shin wrapped around someone's leg like a noodle, he's not coming back this season

Like just a break is the best case scenario, serious ligament damage is very possible

Saw this in All and din't realize it was about NFL, at first. I was confused for a moment.
