I love coop and it is great to see more coop titles. Greatly prefer them to pvp.

Yes, especially given these tumultuous times we live in, I much prefer anything that reinforces cooperation, rather than pitting us against one another.

Kind of disappointed that it's an FPS game, Remedy has always been great at third person games

Do people like how do those third person Remedy games control? I was always put off by how stiff they were which is even worse with camera behind the player character. I was kinda excited about the switch to first person since more direct movement is more suited to these kind of controls.

I feel the exact opposite, most FPS games are much stiffer and unnatural feeling compared to a good third person game. I feel like control had a nice flow to the controls in particular.

I like third person games but Control and Days Gone are some examples of stuff I bounced off entirely based on how bad they felt. I assumed people played those games because they were good games and those people weren’t that bothered by controls. It’s interesting to see some people actually enjoy it. Thanks for the perspective.

Puha said FBC: Firebreak is meant to be "a pick-up-and-play experience" that's easy to jump into, and while "a steady supply of new content" is planned post-release, it's not intended to be a game-as-a-service: "This isn’t about logging in every day for some loot or fear of missing out on materials."

It's live service.. Or is that a bad thing? Then it's not! Unless..?

/s Sounds like they're trying to catch the paranormal coop online multiplayer crowd that makes a game go viral every year to ease their financial woes

This goes on the 'might be an impatient gamer for this' pile

Remedy has been working on this game for years, and it looks like Control, not like a random paranormal game IMO. If you haven't played Control then I can't recommend it enough! It is such a fun game with a unique and incredible atmosphere.

What financial woes?? I didn't know Remedy had any financial problems?

Big fan of control, that's why I'm willing to give this a go.

There was news other week about them seeking investment from tencent to finish control 2, they operated at a loss in 2022, 2023 and first half of 2024 and they didn't do layoffs despite the industry trend. They also bought control from 505. They need the money
