Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Oh, are those multi-million Dollar bribes by the billionaire class for their favourite tax evasion party still not enough?

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 25 points 3 weeks ago

The big donors just need to trickle down those donations. That's how it works in Republican minds, right?

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Definitely not. There's no power there.

[–] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

oh? have you spoken to one of miss lindseys toys?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

I know it’s bad form to call someone an egg, but Miss Lindsey is the eggiest person in congress. And it sucks that that’s the only area that makes him feel any shame because we really shouldn’t care that he’s obviously a straight trans woman in denial, we should care because he’s a fucking asshole and a fascist.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

Oh he’s been creamed I’m sure.

[–] baldingpudenda@lemmy.world 29 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You got to take it to full term, Lindsey.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

Nah, let them abort. It’ll be less painful for all involved

[–] PortoPeople@lemm.ee 21 points 3 weeks ago

Today's GOP needs to be tossed on the ash heap of history.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 17 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

But I thought you liked getting creamed Mx. Lindsey?

It's not homophobia, getting creamed is a completely viable and valid way to spend an evening.

It's calling out hypocrisy because the guy actively engages with others who are openly homophobic, and literally helps build systems to oppress others based on topics like sexual orientation and gender.

Best Batman story.

[–] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 13 points 3 weeks ago

He's trying to scare his base into giving more.

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

Good. Fuck these people. Not literally of course. That would be grotesque and disgusting.

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 7 points 3 weeks ago

Lindsey is getting ready to work the corner, his hands are tied, anything for the party ;)

[–] RestrictedAccount@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

Trump keeps all the money

[–] MorrisonMotel6@lemm.ee 6 points 3 weeks ago

To quote you Lindsey, you deserve it

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I'll bet a good chunk of donations is going straight into the Trump family coffers (thanks Lara!) leaving little for the actual Republican candidates and incumbents.

He added that he is donating $600 to the effort.

“Please,” said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is up for reelection. “I need your help.”

Two pathetic stories in one!

Calling it now, Blue Wave. I think Democratic voters are far more motivated and will roll out election day. What are GOP voters being offered to get them to the polls?

[–] Jagothaciv@kbin.earth 1 points 3 weeks ago

We already know Lindsey is getting creme pied, by Trump.
