My dad was a bee keeper before his health started to decline. My favourite bee anatomy fact?
The fuzzy bit on their back legs that collects pollen....they're called Pollen Pants.

They also have a special little notch in their front legs for combing pollen off of their antenna

I think my favorite part is how they communicate to other bees where the honey is.
They do an interpretive dance.

*She’s a hard worker!
Not to presume someone's gender, but that's a she. She's a hard worker. So you know, boy honey bees don't even collect pollen or nectar. They also don't protect the bee hive or care for the young. Boy bees are the meaning of lazy. Most hives will only have a few percent of boys in summer, but when it gets cold they get booted from the hive and die and they don't make any more boys until next spring.
