It's a conspiracy theory that's on a spectrum from false to true (depending which version we're talking about) and every day it's creeping closer and closer towards being fully true.

This is a good way to put it. It's not as bad as some of the most extreme versions of it portray it to be (yet), but it's def somewhat of a thing already. And it will only get worse.
