Curious if anyone going to Essen can check Terraria the bordgame out and review it. I love the videogame but cannot see how it translates well into a boardgame

The board game looks nothing like my cup of coffee from the sculpts, but eh, am at the expo for two days anyways, might as well swing by Lucky Duck Games and take a look!

I am hoping that the minis will be optional. The BGG page has a couple of prototype pictures that make me think that the game won't require a giant box of plastic. No designer listed on BGG yet but the forum post mentions Chris Kingsworth as the designer. I believe he is a co-designer of Cosmoctopus. (He is not listed as such for some reason)

Sadly didn't get to try. Turns out they only explain it in the morning, they start using the table for another game at 13. Meh. What I saw of it in the presentation case it looked really faithful to the scenery at least, adding cards with terrain as you dig down and so on.

I absolutely loved the Terraria videogame. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I played it so much... back when me and my friends had a ton of time to play together. Great memories.

I don't see how it would translate into a boardgame but I hope it succeeds.
