We need an acronym like NIMBY to describe entitled drivers. Like NIMPS (not in my parking space) in this case, or something more general.

NIMPS is perfect. Can we get Not Just Bikes and Climate Town to use it in a video?

"The essential services are upstairs and the escalator is not working! Those stair-climbers are literally taking away our rights!"

People getting this upset over such a minor inconvenience should lose their right to ever be taken seriously again.

Over parking spaces? What a bunch of fucking buffoons.

And people say "fuck cars" are the extreme ones.

Who would have thought that Calgary would be more bike friendly than Montreal?

I swear to god, motorists are behaving just like the lunatic “don’t take our guns” extremists these days.

Well they often end up being the same people...

I am one of the exceptions then. Responsible gun ownership and responsible city planning are both good things that help the community though the latter is way more impactful

They want MORE parking???? Clearly these privileged French people have not seen the tarmac wasteland that is suburban America.

[–] skozzii@lemmy.ca 2 points 11 months ago

People have just become horrible to others.

Any time working class people protest something the state is forcing on them is "extremist" to oligarchical shills.
