Not saying he is trash but the PR machine was definitely turned on this week. I highly rate Bellingham but the PR machine is working double shifts.

[–] NaiveElk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly, I would say the hype is justified. Nobody expected Bellingham to hit the ground running like this at the biggest club in the world. The man is supposed to be a midfielder but is scoring like Ronaldo. Of course it won't last and the vultures will be out as soon as he goes missing in a few games but his start is honestly unprecedented. He is winning us points in almost every match. Nobody expected this level of impact. The Madrid team is built around a 20 year Englishman on his first season in Spain and it's fucking working. I am biased obviously, but for me he deserves all the hype.

[–] siriBackInWakanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Most attackers do the heavy lifting in defence too.

[–] s_91@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Do yourself a favor and read his comments. Who needs haters when you got a fan like that guy.

[–] TJT007X@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fuck, I misunderstood. Thought he was talking about Bellingham

[–] Decision-pressure@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don‘t think it’s that crazy. Real Madrid is at least prestige wise the greatest football club on the planet. Bellingham doing well at such a club creates natural praise.

[–] JetLifeXCII@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At the moment? Only those who didn’t watch him before say that. Bellingham has been this good, he just didn’t score as much as he’s doing now

[–] pichabro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s talking about current form just like how Guardiola once said De Bruyne is sitting at his own table a couple years ago.

[–] dlp2828@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hes a great player, there's no denying that. But maybe come back once 75% of his goals aren't tap ins lol

[–] san771@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

exactly, if he keeps scoring at this rate who the fuck cares, let them all be tap ins for all I care.

[–] imJouni@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hahahaha, its all anyone complained about tapins and penalties

[–] ZoSoVII@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Embarrassing

[–] WorldGoingOneWay@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I even remember commentators this weekend mentioning him, and I haven't watched any Bundesliga game the past weekend on tv (except Leipzig with no commentary on my betting app).

[–] akshay_rathod_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why are people hurt by this? It's just a teammate praising his teammate.

[–] GaviFPS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Come back when he got more trophies. Pleb comparision.

[–] Flexspot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We're witnessing something special right now.

Many complained the same about sucking off Messi or CR7 when they exploded. If this sub had existed back in the day, it'd be the same with Ronaldo, Kaká, Zizou, Henry, Ronaldinho etc.

There's a different feeling when you're watching an all-timer unfold before your eyes. Just enjoy it.

[–] voli12@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Preparing for Ballon d'Or 2024!

[–] K1ngCrimsn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah he should dribble the whole defense and score outside the box double kicks like haaland

[–] kostajepaosmosta@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Getting clown flair on RM, you are rather an objective fan or a total madman that even real madrid sub can't take it

[–] s_91@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Do yourself a favor and read his comments. Who needs haters when you got a fan like that guy.

[–] SignificantMaize7132@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This season he has been better than both tbh. Not the best player this season, but he is better than Haaland and Mbappe in current form.

[–] TriceCreamSundae@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mbappe could be better than Pele and I wouldn’t know because I don’t watch farmer league football. Play somewhere relevant maybe.

[–] siriBackInWakanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He is not playing as midfielder exactly. Ancelotti though found his strength and utilizing him like that. He is like secondary striker or attacking midfielder for them. But yeah his number is good but so do several striker.

[–] Kind-Departure1058@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Serhou Guirassy has 13 goals in 7 games, but Stuttgart isn't backed by Madrid's PR machine so you won't hear about it, he is the highest rated player in Europe and has the highest shot conversion in Europe in moment

[–] egewquyriq@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A couple of tapins and that’s how they speak of him. He’s very good, but Madrid and England PR combo is too crazy

[–] YaBoyDoogzz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why are people moaning?

On current form, as an all round player, Bellingham is top right now.

By season end? Who knows. But no one is talking about the whole season.

[–] rim261@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mbappe is at RM now?

[–] OutsideClothes4114@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s a workhorse who covers the whole pitch. He can play make, link up play, carry the ball, and defend well.

It’s funny because Gavi has been providing a lot of this for us this season especially when Pedri/FDJ got injured but you are saying he’s 1/10th the player Bellingham is bases off what? Goal scoring?

[–] Multiammar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Reminds me of the early PR push they were giving Valverde last year. Crazy times.

[–] RoVRossi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The RM media machine is out in full force 🙄

[–] san771@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A couple of tapins

A feel like you are downplaying his contribution so far a bit, just a tiiiinny bit.

[–] shortai_baata2i@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Madrid PR working overtime to make a kid who scored a few tap-ins the next GOAT. This is hilarious.

[–] daviesjj10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's also one of the best midfielders in the world and rising.

[–] panape@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone that's been watching all the Real Madrid games - care to share a breakdown of his overall performances outside the goalscoring alone? I have only watched his highlights and he's obviously been hugely influential in the goal + assists arena, but how has he been in controlling midfield, passing, defensive aspects etc?

[–] Acubeofdurp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He is a mix of Zidane and Gerrard imo but way ahead of them at the same age. A born leader, someone who demands the very best of everyone around him no matter their standing. He has an uncanny ability to find time in the box with his exceptional first touch and decision making. Being so clinical In front of goal is yet another major facet to his game which sets him apart. I think he has 19 shots and scored 10 goals so far this season which is remarkable in addition to being a 20 year old world class midfielder. Being clinical was what made Ronaldo stay at the top later in his career but it took him years to learn how. I think mainly it's his mentality and game IQ which is above the others on top of his obviously great technical abilities.

[–] Giovanni_2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mbappe has been on Bellinghams level for years now. TF is this?

[–] MorukDilemma@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's been like this for years. He's been absolutely outstanding in every single Dortmund match.

[–] san771@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean, people say the same thing about me 🤷‍♂️

[–] peniseend@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mislintat masterclass

[–] pichabro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What people fail to realize is that Bellingham isn’t just providing goals but phenomenal midfielder performances. He’s a workhorse who covers the whole pitch. He can play make, link up play, carry the ball, and defend well. Even if his goal output declines, he’s still bringing so much to the table and is proving he should be up there with the best players in the world

[–] Martoxic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

can we stop with all this dick sucking? it is literally October. Just started the season.

[–] allangod@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
