Darren England on the VAR tonight?

Yet they still shouldve been 1-0 up

[–] moonski@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

they literally ruled it as a foul though in the review though? They just changing their mind again lol

Anyone saying Scotland robbed has no clue about the rules...

What a fucking disgrace this is. Refs have given it to Spain

From offside?

Not sure why people keep saying this, it was announced as a disallowed goal for a foul and the on-field ref made the hand signal for foul.

This was not disallowed for offsides.

[–] eustatics@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For Scott McTominay scoring a free kick? Absolutely

Not outrageous at all, Scottish player interfered with play while on offside position.

[–] Ainsyyy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Just explaining why people are mad. Never a foul, offside is understandable but that's not what was communicated

[–] LookAtForever@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Offside apparently.

[–] KRino19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Spanish with the refs in their pockets surprise.

[–] djneill@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Definitely looked like a foul in there

[–] polaretti_fruit@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ref is a greasy cheater, brought huge shame on his family.

[–] Kanesy99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Impeded the keeper by breathing? he barely did anything to impede him, Simon didn’t even claim for it

[–] Ainsyyy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If he was offside then it was more than enough interfering, gk couldn't move

[–] forsakenpear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

the goal keeper could clearly move, that's why he clearly moved, just not in the right direction

[–] forsakenpear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So can you explain how both the VAR and the ref indicated it was a foul, despite apparently having a full discussion between them that it was offside?

[–] forsakenpear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] RealFenian@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You would say that though. Spain are pish and are ducking fortunate to be 1-0 up.

[–] atease@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It seems so, yes. I'm almost certain, though, that the ref didn't put his arm up to indicate offside, rather signalled a foul. All a bit confusing.
