Hernandez Hernandez is the worst referee i have ever seen

Netherlands played terrible. Greece had to win but played without any strikers? Referee was trying to be the star of the game and VAR was horrid. Lasers on the players from the stands, the pitch quality was a joke. Everything about this was horrible.

That ref missing the first half pen and pen in the last minute of the game is outrageous.

2 non-existent penalties awarded, 1 stonewall penalty denied. Somebody give me what the ref is smoking.

We weren't great, crazy that we legit should've had 4 pens instead of 2. The foul on Brobbey and the guy who dived one ball with his arm first in the first half.

Never let Weghorst take a pen again.

Again, sloppy game but with 4 of our starting 11 out injured we should just be happy we won.

Far too many individual mistakes and we got away with most thanks to the players putting in extra effort and getting into last ditch tackles. The plan was solid, the lads gave everything, Ioannidis ripped apart that Ake bloke, Retsos has a place in my heart for yelling in the face of Brobbey and Vlachodimos can only be assumed has testicles the size of melons. Hernandez Hernandez was on something today though. So many dogshit calls. He got like half the corner calls wrong. He gaves us 2 penalties, but ignored two penalty calls that were much more of a pen than 1 of them that was given.

Also ignored VAR twice on those pens, which was fun to see.

I'm not sure what Koeman was doing in the second half. First half wasn't exactly totaalvoetbal but we invited the press and had some decent attacks and a missed pen. We didn't have much control at all in the second half and basically had massive gaps between the lines and attackers on an island. Van de Ven at left back meant a few dangerous possession losses in the build up and made their press much more effective. I some some Steijnbal in the end with us spamming long balls on Brobbey with a hopelessly out of form Bergwijn to his left. He obviously did well to win the penalty and we won in the end but it wasn't due to great game management.

Koeman atm explaining that Weghorst was allowed to take the pen because he is very good at them in training. Like bro maybe that’s cuz our goalies aren’t good at penalty stopping in the first place + less pressure during a training. Please just let guys take pens that are used to taking them in big, ACTUAL matches

Shame. Boys played well, and that second pen really shouldn’t have been given IMO after he looked at it on the monitor. Ody deserves to play at the highest level. Ioannidis should’ve squared it to Masouras.

Oh well. There’s still the playoffs to look forward. Dangerous teams over there as well; Kazakhstan, Luxembourg and Georgia are nothing to scoff at and have shown how dangerous they can be in the qualifiers, but I still like our chances. The team has improved lots from the failures of the past few campaigns, and we can only be proud of it. We shall go for it in March 😤

laser pen? wtf is greece fan doing in the stadium with laser?

- AEK's owner should be ashamed of himself for the state of the pitch. This is a brand new stadium, you can't be bothered to have the grass in good condition ?

- The Spanish referee showed why Lahoz was the best Spanish referee for years.

- We played quite well given our lack of talent in many positions, if we were a bit luckier we could have got points today.

- We should be able to beat Kazakhstan at home and then if we are mentally ready, beat Georgia or Luxembourg and make it to the Euro.

PS. I already see comments about the lasers again, so I will post it again, that if there are matches with fans in Greece, there will be lasers. In football, basketball, volleyball, handball, everything. In penalties, free throws, serves...no you can't stop them from having them, in Greece the ultras bring whatever they want inside, the police doesn't do their job, the laws aren't upheld. You would have to either reshape Greek society and institutions or have all matches in Greece without fans. No other solution.

How did Van de Ven play off the bench
