It’s preseason, so all I really care about is seeing his athleticism back. Not too concerned about stats, but he seems to be moving well and aggressive on both sides

It's literally the same cycle as last year. People see him workout in the off-season and start rooting for the Ben Simmons comeback. He plays one good preseason game and then there's a huge circlejerk about how he's back and how all the haters were so deluded for doubting him. Then he proceeds to do fuckall, seems to not care that he's playing like shit, people turn against him and the cycle repeats.
