Sochan is gonna be in the top 10 most hated players in the league when people realize what a pest he is in defence... and because he looks dumb with his hairdos
Anyone else see a lot of Ron Artest in his game? Even the upright nature in which he plays. Also the raw offensive ability and edge to his play.
Nowhere near as strong as Ron but he’s still young.

Was Ron Harper really a point guard or just a big wing defender that got "slotted" into the PG position (and it didn't matter that much due to the triangle?)

One of the best young defenders in the NBA right now. Can’t wait to see him matchup with stars everynight and get better
Guarding Luka for the season opener
The Spurs defense could be pretty interesting this year. Against the Rockets they put a ton pressure on the PG with Sochan harassing him in space while Vassell and Keldon were very aggressive in the gaps with their length. Collins is fairly mobile for a 7 footer and obviously Wemby covers so much space. The offense will be a little janky but they could be very scrappy.
Will be a fun squad to watch for years to come
Just 2 back to back games in the pre-season, and I can tell our guys hate the Spurs. Will be a good rivalry this year. Feels like Spurs have a little mental edge going into season after last 2 performances. But our team has a lot of defense/grit guys, so should be good chip on shoulder stuff.
It’s hard to hate the Rockets since there’s so many former Spurs on the bench. Like it was great to see Ime, Boban and Tiago last night. But I’m sure I’ll find a way lol
It's fun to watch Boban push his way through the sea of people like a giant lovable hill giant after every game to go give Pop a hug.

Im down for it - i really like thompson and whitmore. The Thompson twins seem so nice and polite off the court - but on the court they dogs and got spice too em. Amen is really really fun to warch. I really like the chip on the shoulder Whitmore plays wit too. These games are gon be heated and I’m all for it 🤝🤝🤝
As a long time Spurs fan AND Rockets hater my favorite moment of the last year was Wemby doing a little fist pump when yall secured the 4th pick.

Spurs looking nice
This spurs team is going to be so much fun to watch this season
He's a heel and owns it. I love it. Defensively the Spurs with this starting five they're entering the season with could cause teams tons of havoc. They've been wanting to go big and have multiple ballhandlers on the floor at all times and that's what they're going to have to start the season. There will be teething issues offensively but you can understand the vision.

Title had me concerned it might be a Spurs highlight without Wemby. Thankfully it was nothing of the sort, phew.
I love Sochan. People talk about defending 1-5 a lot these days, but basically none of the guys in that conversation actually do it. Sochan legitimately can.
There’s a lot of Dennis Rodman in him, and while I’d never expect him to reach those levels of defense and rebounding(Rodman was arguably the GOAT at both) he has that amazing blend of instincts, tools, toughness, and tenacity.
Offensively he’s got a lot of work to do, but he possesses a great blend of athleticism, handling, and vision for a guy his size. While I’m not sure he’s a real PG, I think he could be a great playmaking forward maybe like a Lamar Odom.
The jumper in particular needs a lot of work, but I don’t think the problem is a lack of touch and the Spurs have a great history of developing mechanics. Given Sochan’s work ethic and willingness to listen, learn, and experiment I believe he’ll figure it out.
He really got into Amen's head, Amen gotta toughen up mentally. Sochan and Mo Wagner are two of the best instigators in the league rn

So happy for Pop actually. He has another incredible core that can turn into a dinasty. He needs one more superstar scorer/playmaker and he’s set. (Maybe Spurs fan know if there’s potential in someone)
Definitely need a stud scoring point guard, the Sochan experiment is going to be fun to watch but I think his game is not going to be best served running point.
