The tubes won't light up until you press a button, so there isn't much to attract attention when you're just wearing it.

These are super cool, but for 400 seems a bit much for a probably china made etsy product. Are Nixie tubes that expensive?

Also: I think you can wear those easily, basically all the other designs on etsy are horrible and rather tacky, but this one shouldn't be an issue IMO.

I've found that things that break all these theoretical sartorial rules don't really matter if you do it with confidence.

<14mm is golden, assuming it otherwise fits your wrist. Plenty of people wear divers thicker than that and I don’t think a nixie is inherently cartoonish.
