Stats are below of all the players who average 30 or more from last season.

  1. Joel Embiid - 33.1
  2. Luka 32.4
  3. Damian Lillard 32.4
  4. SGA 31.4
  5. Giannis 31.1.
  6. Tatum 30.1

Curry was the next up at 29.4. Honestly I see Curry averaging 30 or more this year, I do not see Dame or Giannis doing it since they are teammates now. I think Donovan Mitchell does it too. So I predict personally that there will be 6 this upcoming year as well.

Less this year. As mentioned, Lillard and Giannis are on the same team. I'd expect SGA to drop as OKC gets better and his teammates take up more of a scoring load. Luka may drop as well with Kyrie there for a full season.

Porzingis also easily drops Tatum's average more than .1 points per game.

I’m thinking less. Luka and Embiid are the only 2 on that list I think are likely to do it again, and I don’t know who makes the step up into that list

Probably around the same number. AD averaging 30 wouldn't surprise me. Embiid/Luka/Tatum/Steph but think Booker has a good chance to average 30. I still think Giannis gets 30+ and maybe both Giannis and Dame, but definitely Giannis.

I also think Booker is going to take a leap as well. He just seems ready, he's in his prime as well.

Nah AD not getting 30. Lakers offense is too slow for anyone on that team to average 30, unless Lebron doesn't play the entire season or smthg.

Embiid, Luka, Steph

Maybe Trae, I doubt Tatum, Jrue is also a better scorer than smart.

I can see him not getting 30 but Lakers were top 5 in pace last season.

I think the only one who will average 30 & above this year is Embiid, Luka has Kyrie to share the ball with, Dame & Giannis on the same team, for Tatum there is KP Chet & Jdub will take shots from Shai, KD got Booker and Beal.

Realistically less. Luka is the only name here I'd write in pen.

Embiid could certainly do it again but he's got his MVP and Philly REALLY needs to figure out how to keep his stamina up for the postseason so taking on less in game load is probably a good idea.

Lillard and Giannis are almost impossible to both score 30.

Chet is gonna need some shots, so SGA might see a downtick but I wouldn't rule it out.

Tatum will likely be close but hard to say how the offense shake out in Boston.

Agreed. I'd probably say SGA is the third most likely, but that's shaky.

Tatum adds in Jrue and KP to the mix, so I really don't think he will.

I think Ja (32 mpg) could have a chance at 30ppg. With Tyus gone, it would be nice to see him get more minutes, especially in the 4th quarter.

Giannis and Dame both took 20 a game. MLE averaged 90 FGA's per game last season. There's still another 50 shots to go around. Jrue and Allen took 22 to score a combined 30 points, so adding Dame actually adds two more shots for someone else. If anything, Dame and Giannis might need to take more, because they lost some FGA's in other areas.

Giannis takes the most FTA's in the league, scoring about 8 PPG's from the line. Dame 5th most, scoring about 9 PPG. Which means they are scoring about a half a point per FGA from the foul line. Both could lose some efficiency, and still score 30 PPG, by taking another couple of available shots, because they get to the line.

I know people forget about the Wizards but I can't believe nobody has mentioned Poole averaging 35+.

[–] kinzieiii@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

JP is dropping close to 30. Wizards have no offense.

Scoring numbers are crazy these days. There were only six 30+ ppg scoring seasons in all of the 1990s, Karl "The Child Impregnator" Malone in 1990, and Michael Jordan five times.
