The off-season grew more interesting

3 Championships runs, 1 ring, and a contract latter guard Jordan Poole has an opportunity to be the number one option on a young Wizards team. The wizards have never been strangers to big names such as John Wall, Russel Westbrook, Bradley Beal, Paul Pierce, etc. HOWEVER only one of the players mentioned had championship experience.

With a solid running mate with Kuzma, how far could the wizards go? Or as the title states, is this Beal 2.0

All those players have one thing in common. They’ve never won a chip being the only guy. Highly doubt Kuz and Poole will get out the 2nd round without a reliable 3rd player.

Tyus Jones?

Get out of the 2nd round? These guys are fighting for a play in spot

[–] Middle-Flatworm1417@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

That’s prediction was being generous. They may get lucky. Hell, look how far the Heat got last year. No one predicted they’d make it that far.

a play-in spot? the wizards will be fighting to avoid having the worst record in the league.

Think lower…

Playoffs?

Dude they might lose 55 games. Golden State doesn't make a habit of letting good players leave their franchise.

Monta Ellis 2.0 I could see a We Believe Wizards run a few years down the road with PooZma, Bilal, Deni, some randos.

As in, you think they can compete for the 10 seed?

Man, ownership's gonna be thrilled!

Wiz should be tanking, but Kuz and Poole actually kinda care and won't accept just losing. Kuz straight up won a bunch of games for Wiz last season with Zingis/Beal out. They should have traded him and tanked for Wemby tbh.

Poole now has something to prove with him being scapegoated and Dray/Pod friends sniping at him every chance they get.

Poole already has his money but he left the warriors with question marks around his name. I'm sure he is itching to prove himself right.

Wiz need just one more piece

And You're right it takes a certain type of player to trust the process

Kuz and Poole can care all they want about winning but they're just not good enough for that to actually matter

This sub has a hate bonner for Kuz and Poole. But the reality is, Kuz is a big reason why Wizards weren't a bottom 5 team the last two seasons and Warriors don't win a championship without Jordan Poole playing the way he did.

[–] nikop@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

lmao if the wizards weren't a bottom-5 team the past two years they were pretty damn close to it and very clearly bottom 10 if you want to be generous. And that's with Beal and Porzingis, both of whom are better than Kuzma and Poole.

Warriors don't win a championship without Jordan Poole playing the way he did

You can say the same about them getting bounced out of the second round last season and be just as accurate.

Underrated comment

[–] mikeydale007@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

1/9 at halftime btw

[–] osirisunset@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Will he be the greatest Jordan to play for the Wizards?

[–] ShamgarApoxolypse@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He is 1 for 15 currently

[–] cycling_rat@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Lol he’s currently 1-15!

[–] CabbageStockExchange@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Wizards should try and get Drummond or some other elite rebounder. They’d average 20/20 scoring and grabbing offensive rebounds

[–] Cultural_Tank_6947@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

There's going to be nights where Kuzma and Poole will get you 60 points. There's nights where they will get you 60 points on 25% shooting.

Both guys are good enough to be 3rd/4th guy on a championship team, they've proved that. Jury is out on rest.

[–] Zippa86@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

These clowns will be one of the worst teams in the league. Poole is garbage

[–] Enough_Lakers@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Lmao guy sucks

[–] JKbHyperizin@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I saw some things from Poole that I felt were Kyrie-esque in their level of finish difficulty. And at one point felt like he had seen the matrix. He was also averaging 20 and carried the Warriors seemingly when Steph was out. But his abortion stretch really convinced me that was fools gold. Not that he's bad. But there are like 8 Jordan Pooles around the NBA and they are hopefully not the top guys on their teams
