Is there a name for that type of curved glass?

Probably a domed plexiglass/acrylic crystal

1990's Tissot Janeiro Chronograph, gold gilt telemeter dial.

A watch with an incredible vintage charm,

a watch that I knew would be a keeper the moment I laid eyes on it many years ago.

As Tissot just released a new tribute model to the famous 1938 Tissot Military models, I thought I'd share my Telemeter dial Tissot as well.

Although the new models are beautiful as well, unfortunately the 42mm diameter and 15mm thickness were a bit too out of proportion for me personally compared to the 38mm of the 90’s models.

Regardless of the models new or old, the gold gilt accents and dial layout add to its vintage inspired charm.

Looks great. I wonder what kind of movement is in it.

They used some sort of vintage movement, just a sec

That amount of detail in the dial is just amazing, a real beauty!
