Element (the matrix chat app) has a "live location" feature (I haven't had the need to look into anything else)

I'm also pretty sure that I've seen more than one relevant Nextcloud apps, but I can't find one right now ๐ค
Everything #OpenStreetMap related is welcome: software releases, showing of your work, questions about how to tag something, as long as it has to do with OpenStreetMap or OpenStreetMap-related software.
OpenStreetMap is a map of the world, created by people like you and free to use under an open license.
Join OpenStreetMap and start mapping: https://www.openstreetmap.org/.
There are many communication channels about OSM, many organized around a certain country or region. Discover them on https://openstreetmap.community/
https://mapcomplete.org/ is an easy-to-use website to view, edit and add points (such as shops, restaurants and others)
https://learnosm.org/en/ has a lot of information for beginners too.

~~Owntracks was one of the nextcloud apps,~~ I used it years ago: https://owntracks.org/
It's also on fdroid: https://f-droid.org/packages/org.owntracks.android/
I found the nextcloud app it is PhoneTrack:
It has a big list of supported apps: https://github.com/julien-nc/phonetrack/blob/main/doc/user.md
If you can self host the backend and want to temporarily share your location, check out Hauk: https://github.com/bilde2910/Hauk
Meshtastic too.
Unfortunately this is still missing. Especially some feature that someone can request the location, instead of me having to actively send it.
My partner could just pull it, with or without me approving (for a certain period). Or for kids. Or friends at a gathering.
