In the East, my vote would be Brooklyn or Atlanta.

Brooklyn is deep at just about every position. Mikal Bridges is a very good scorer. Cam Johnson a very talented 2-way player. Dinwiddie a solid 2-guard. Claxton is one of the more impressive young centers in the league. A lot rides on Simmons and if he can be 75 percent of what he once was. At the very least, he looks to be in shape entering the season. Brooklyn looks to have a plethora of two-way players. The question is if Bridges can be the main scorer on a contending title team.

Atlanta has Trae Young, who is now flying under the radar as one of the best scoring guards in the NBA, and many solid defensive pieces surrounding him in Murray, Hunter, Capela. If Trae can get a hot in a playoff series, you never know.

In the West, I think it’s Minnesota. On paper, they are loaded with talent. Ant, KAT, McDaniels, Gobert, Reid, Conley and Anderson might be as good of a first 7 you will find in the league today. Of course, the main question is — can Chris Finch make Towns and Gobert work offensively? We saw how tough Minnesota can be in the Denver series last year. With most everyone on their roster now having multiple years of playoff experience in addition to having continuity among their depth chart and coaching staff, they are my sneaky pick to make the West finals this year.

Who is your sneaky pick in each conference to make a deep playoff run? Or do you believe there’s no logical selection?

Hawks and Minnie already proved to be kinda stinkers rather than sleepers... they didn't improved by a bit if not for Ant which I'd expect to be all NBA level. Trae was a huge mistake for the Hawks to begin with.

Are Kings and Cleveland unpopular picks? If not, let me take the Mavs

I wonder how long we have to hear about Trae Young flying under the radar.

I feel like people are under estimating the Cavs in the East. And that’s coming from a bucks fan.

Their bigs can bother Giannis and Tatum, and their guards can really do some damage offensively.

The question for them now is do they have a plan for Dame and Jrue on their new teams. Chances are they’re gonna have to make it through both of them to make it out of the East.

Raptors because I’m from Canada

In the East, the Knicks. They have a few good matchups in a seven game series vs the teams in the East, they’re basically a solid Randle post season run away from at the very least an ECF.

In the West, the Pelicans seem like a bit of a dark horse, if Zion is healthy.

Wolves gonna shock the world watch.

People underrate the rest of the East. Celtics and Bucks are 1 and 2 of course, but people act like there's no chance anyone else can be in the ECF. I'm not even talking about the Heat here. Celtics are very vulnerable to injuries, with an injury to any of their top 6 (outside of maybe White) being gameover against a great team due to a lack of playoff level rotation players. Bucks also are remaking their team with a new coach and loss a lot of what made their defense so elite, while also having very questionable depth. One of Miami, New York, and Cleveland have a decent shot of making it to the ECF and being one injury away from being propelled into the finals.

Eh. Can’t trust Minnesota. They aren’t a dark horse imo. The Pelicans, perhaps. Really just depends on Zion’s health

The cavs have a young core that can surprise a lot of people. I have strong hopes in the rookie Emoni Bates. With Darius Garland,Donavan Mitchell, Jarret Allen, and Evan Mobley, they can get a 5-6 playoff spot. All this is based off my confidence in Emoni bates though.

I don’t think people realize how low the bar is for Strus & Niang to be major upgrades to the rotation. Cavs had 5 playable guys for the playoffs last year total, couldn’t have made an adjustment if they wanted to while the Knicks were pushing them around.

I've been saying for a few years, how the Knicks were the baby Heat. And they will do the things the heat are doing. I believe they will go deep into playoffs. Eastern conference finals

new Orleans and miami

[–] LeFatigue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Minnesota. They might end up in the wcf this year pulling off some unthinkable upsets as a 5/6 seed

[–] Kdog122025@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If NOLA’s healthy they could win the whole thing.

[–] RyyKarsch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Raptors are claiming the fourth seed and making the second round.
