The printing speed is slow AF...a 37min benchy on a coreXY in 2025, WTF!? My bedslinger does it in less than 30min.
The default Prusa profiles are incredibly conservative. They prioritize quality and part strength over speed. If you need the speed you can easily bump it to 200% with minimal issues.
From the reviews I've seen, quality is not really above average despite those slow speeds, they even show some pretty poor overhang capabilities with PLA in several videos I've seen.
Bambu and Prusa both run Marlin. So there is no klipper to be had there. If you insist on klipper, you might want to check out the Qidi Tech Plus 4. It should tick all the boxes you are looking for. And Qidi says they are coming out with their own version of the AMS for the Plus 4 called the Qidi Box sometime this first quarter. Whether they hit that target date or not, I cannot say.
I don't necessarily insist on klipper, but I would like to have the same functionality with whatever printer I end up with.
The Bambu printers are quite locked down. So you are only getting the functionality they want you to have. So the Core One, (Marlin) or Qidi, (Mainsail and klipper), might be your best choice. Crealty seems to be improving with their new models. But their past history makes me very leery yet. I lean to Prusa because I've owned one for 5 years now and they still support it. Customer support is valuable to me and worth the extra cost in the purchase price.
Got a source on the Bambu running marlin?
My A1 mini when you look at the printer settings, on the first screen, under g-code flavor, says Marlin(legacy). It's not even Marlin 2. Plus it's locked so you can't even change it something like marlin 2 or klipper.
I'm going to second the Qidi line. They're fantastic.
Sovol sv08 is a voron-alike that seems to fit your criteria.
Yeah but their build quality really looks like it's absolute shit, running some flimsy looking proprietary hotend.
Not CoreXY but you may want to check out FLSun's delta offerings too.
I have an older one and it has served me well. I bought a QQS pro (I think) for tinkering. It worked well out of the box but I could not resist changing the stepper drivers, installing Klipper, changing the hotend, ... It still works well, just faster.
Looking at the few reviews of what they have today I'd buy again but would try not to swap out parts. That or the Prusa you're looking at.
I would really love the Prusa core one to deliver a product matching their price point, but it just seems to miss the mark by a mile to offer the required functionality and performance to match their price.
I believe you can flash klipper on the Prusa printers, they even have an official page on how to flash custom firmware and it does not break their warranty.

I switched my trusty old Mk3s+ over to klipper a few weeks ago. It was even easy enough to add an accelerometer for input shaping too. While still not as fast as the Bambu mini sitting next to it, I have increased the printing speed to 70mm/s to 90mm/s for quality prints. And I can achieve a bit over 100mm/s print speeds with a small drop in quality.
It will give the old girl more years of useful life.
They mention "custom firmware", but I can't find anything online on whether or not their proprietary boards are compatible with klipper, they have no resources on the matter as far as I can tell.
