Are spanish taxes complicated to pay or something

You have to remember that when you file taxes in Spain, it is a Spaniard who reviews them.

From my rudimentary knowledge of the situation, most of these cases stemmed from the fact that the Spanish Treasury moved against players using offshore companies to sell their image rights and avoiding paying taxes in Spain on income generated from those rights. Alonso is the only one I know who took the treasury to court. Most of the others settled and made deals with the Treasury.
