Would you rather be elite at attacking the rim, finishing at the rim, postplay, exc. but be just an average shooter, or be a great shooter but average at attacking or finishing at the rim?

The rim is great for status, the shooters last longer in the league.

I want to be the 35 year old out of shape dude at the gym throwing dream shakes in the post and getting easy buckets.

Great shooters tend to last longer in the league so I would go with shooting, personally.

Ah, the 2k question.

I would like to be a versatile two way player with elite offense and defense. Aka Pippen.

Attacking and finishing in the rim feels great but shooting is probably the safer and smarter long term choice

How good can I be at attacking and finishing at 5'9"? If I can yam on fools then i'll take that but if it's just a crafty layup package gimme the wet jumper.

I put down 20 3s in a row(practice ofc) the other day and i never hit more than like 4 in a row. It was the best day of my life, so shooting

being elite at attacking the rim is better a better choice because like you said it comes with average shooting.

That's like 2018-2022 lebron archetype of a player.
