It’s the first year of gardening in our new house and first time gardening in the #pnw so I’m prepared to make a lot of mistakes. I also started sowing quite late in the season so I’m just beginning to see real plant growth. My lettuce sprouts looked a bit stressed, so I carefully dug them up and swapped places with my corn sprouts, which was in a shadier spot. I hope that I didn’t do too much damage to the roots. Some water and vegetable fertilizer in the new holes might give them a boost, I think?
Vegetable Gardening

I'm not growing much as this is my first year attempting a vegetable garden and I didn't want to overdo it as I generally tend to.
I have some severely distressed squash (I think I am underwatering and the soil has too much clay).
there are a few tomatoes growing on the plant in the same dirt as the squash. in the other section I have a bunch of overcrowded tomatoes I grew from seed that haven't flowered much.
the last radishes are flowering so I'll have plenty of seed for next year. and I have a few pinto pods already from my storebought beans!
I finally got a greenhouse resulting in loads of padron peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers over the past months. It really made a huge difference in yield. Also, three squash plants is way too much unless you're the Duggars.
Less spectacularly, the sunflowers still haven't flowered and my clematis died of unknown causes.
I hear you about the squash...they're very prolific!
My sunflowers are also taking their sweet time for some reason, even though all my neighbours' are already flowering, as well as the ones in the fields nearby. But I have hope!
