I have a Seiko 5 that I’d like to take swimming. The only thing I’m worried about is that the caseback was taken off a couple months ago to get it regulated by a well-respected jeweller. I don’t know if they oiled the gasket or pressure tested it. Is it still ok to take swimming?

watches are made to be maintained, if it was taken apart and put back together by someown qualified to do that work, it should still work as intended in all the conditions it was built to withstand, otherwise they ripped you off.

It's not magic single use adhesives they use, the watches contain gaskets to help seal them.

As long as the case back is well screwed in then you should be fine
