Would love to get them off my desk, but the built-in templates don't really facilitate short groupings of notes well. Anyone have any suggestions for moving post-it notes to reMarkable?

The closest thing rM offers is the "Quicksheets" function. When you tap the button at the top of a file browser screen, it will ...

  • Create a "Quick sheets" notebook in the tablet's "root directory", if one doesn't already exist
  • Add a page to the end of that notebook
  • Open that new page, ready for you to start writing

You just need to remember to go through that notebook once in a while and "handle" each page. This could mean doing whatever you wanted to remind yourself to do, or (in my case) moving the page to the notebook where it should be, but I didn't take the time to navigate to that notebook because I didn't want to forget whatever it was before it was written down. (If you get the chance, don't get old.)

I keep a running log in quick sheets. Start a page with the date. When I’m in my planning stage I’ll have my phone or laptop with the remarkable app open (need the subscription I think). But this enables me to consolidate the quick sheets into a task list as I reference the same document on my phone / laptop that I’m writing the bullet points in on the remarkable.

I find navigating the pages is to slow so I avoid that on the remarkable so I like to creat a new baseline task list to avoid having to reference earlier pages.

Can you keep an “INBOX” page or notebook?

Have a quick sentence to jot down? Add it to the inbox page. Continuous pages give you more room, the select and move abilities let you get tour sentence out of the way or put it where it really goes (via cut and paste) easily.

In addition to Quick Notes I keep a normal inbox and a phone inbox, making one new page per new thing.

I use the Post-Its app (iPhone- I don't know Android) to take photos of post-it notes individually or all at once (they can be arranged in a group) and export the photo from the app as a PDF file to Dropbox, and from there, import it to my Remarkable 2. Maybe this will work for you.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I wish rM had a template that was basically large boxes on the page that you could use as a pseudo post-it. That is, a ready way to organize random and often unrelated quick notes (like a post-it).
