The incumbent govt gets the first chance to form government. No other party would support the current CPC if they get a minority. These aren’t Harper conservatives. Harper had a minority and was capable of ruling with other parties on a case by case basis and after he did that, he was rewarded with a majority. Polievre is nothing more than a grievance politician utterly incapable of working with anyone. Not to mention he’ll sell Canada out to Trump in no time at all.

I mostly agree with this comment, but I'd like to point out that many "Harper conservatives" are still members of the CPC, Poilievre included. This is just what conservative ideology leads to.

It's kinda insane that things have gotten so bad that we long for the days of Stephen goddamn Harper.

You’re absolutely right. And that’s why the CPC should most definitely lose is because we see the final evolution of conservativism down south.

And the 338 model now has the CPCs firmly in minority territory, with the Liberals potentially able to maintain power with NDP & Green support.

Once the writ is dropped it will be interesting what 338 says.

God it would be such an awesome thing if Mark Carney gets a minority government because then he would act more humble than Justin Trudeau did.
