Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

I'm using this so I can switch between two breakers. 2 inputs and 1 output.

The reason why I am doing this is because I have 2 solar systems and battery. One for each breaker panel.

The output is going to a electric car. So instead of me running a long electrical conduit to my car, I am using the existing electrical wire and switching the input between the breakers.

I have been looking at other past post and people are suggesting a smart pool timers but it only seems to be turning disconnecting and connecting one input only.

Double contactor that's interlocked both electrically and mechanically. Both outputs to the load in parallel to the load.

What you're looking for is an "automatic transfer switch."

Be cheaper to make one with semi or full industrial relays.

You might also look at SSRs just to know.

The Keyword here is ATS or Automatic Transfer Switch.

Those usually get used in the Datacenter where you switch between Generator Power to Powergrid and back.

They are available in different sizes. Small ones from APC that can do 230v at 20A Or bigger contraptions which take a moment to switch over to not have both inputs on the output (and connected together)

Thanks all I found what I was looking for. The link above is exactly what I needed to help me automatically move the source of the input between my breakers.
