He's super sensitive and has no reason to be with how great he is, that's pretty much the main reason
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Everyone is. No one knocks Jordan for it
They absolutely would if he was on a NBA coverage show every week.
because ringz erneh
He is one of the most famous and beloved NBA players EVER. People hate on him for always bringing up Rings as a way to win an argument/point. Otherwise he's universally loved.
He won many rigged titles
Because his role on the show is:
-
40% laugh at Chuck's jokes
-
40% act salty at Chuck's jokes
-
10% Rings Erneh
-
5% Shaqtin
-
5% Shitting on Modern Bigs
Dude offers almost no analysis.
You forgot him mumbling
Dude offers almost no analysis.
You mean to tell me, "I was telling Chuck in the back, if they come out tonight and do what they need to do, they should win this game" isn't enough hard hitting analysis for you?
also we dont even watch this 4 dudes for serious analysis of the game
He says stupid shit and brings nothing to the table.
i guessing because he is not? i love me some Shaq and Charles
Step outside of Reddit and no one hates him. This place hates anything happy or cheerful.
He deserves some hate for being so sensitive regarding current players and his own accomplishments.
First of all Shaq is one of the kindest and most jovial and nicest guys to fans. No fan has ever had a bad experience with him.
A key feature of being on television......
he doesnt say the same cliche things other guys like Reggie, Jackson, Burke, Smith all say
He is the father of rings culture
He also seems to genuinely care about the players and wants to see them improve
LOL
nah hes great off camera too, he buys people free shit, never ignores picture requests, just a goofball.
He's so thin skinned can't take a joke
Because people have this fake narrative that he didn’t work hard. He didn’t work as hard as Kobe, who has one of the best work ethics ever. He still put in work
He was kinda a bully, sensitive and hypocritical, and some people find him boring in that TNT show.
Also, many didn't like how he was so defensive about his legacy and for attacking others like Dwight.
He seems like Trump to me. He can be funny and seemingly nice but he will show no morale if someone remotely disagrees with him.
He's one of those people that are nice because he's rich or well off. (Quoting The Parasite movie)
Haven’t watched Shaq in a few years but from what I remember he’s a manchild bully who dishes out jokes but can’t take any, becomes super butthurt and immediately brings up his accomplishments.
He doesn't know a fucking thing about the nba today lmao.
He isn't a good analyst.
Simple really.
He's entertaining and I don't take his basketball opinions seriously, I like him because he is funny with Charles
Shaqs got a bit of an edge to him that people seldom mention. Doesn’t take jokes all too well, and seems to be a bit of an asshole to people that work for him.
Always remember one clip from Inside where he gets furious with a camera-man for not moving closer to the food that Shaq is eating. The camera-man is getting a perfectly good shot of the food from where he is, but Shaq pulls him over and essentially tells him off like a child live on TV, completely emasculating the guy.
IMO he’s a bit of a mean person who disguises himself as a nice guy by doing good things on camera.
Not a good analyst.
Not funny. Seriously, if you're a 5'7" nobody, go try some of his best jokes at a party and tell us how it goes.
The weird feuds he's had with other players should be beneath him. He's a GOAT level, massively successful off the court, and genuinely a good guy... So the pettiness is just confusing.
I think because his take is very simple. "Play like this then you'll win. 28 and 15."
If you watch when they used to do the on court examples and it's big man stuff he breaks things down better. Big man 101 on YouTube is one of my favorites to watch from them.
