Hello all,

I'm trying to validate my web app ideas. I've contacted a handful of business owners, about 7 in total, with the following message:

"Hello,

I'm reaching out to you because I noticed your connection to a company. I'm in the process of creating a web app that aims to help on . In addition to the standard features such as , I would like to understand what would truly enhance your efficiency. If you're interested, I would love to have a conversation about it."

So far, only one person responded with a message stating that they already have plenty of tools at their disposal and wished me luck with my app. This response has left me wondering about the effectiveness of my approach. I'm still keen on validating my ideas before diving into development, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  • Do you think there's a more effective approach to engage business owners for feedback?
  • How do you typically handle situations where your outreach isn't met with much enthusiasm or response?
  • Would you use a different strategy to validate multiple ideas before choosing one to develop into an MVP?

Read / listen to “The Mom Test”. There’s a free PDF online. It’s a quick/easy read that goes in depth on how to reach out to get feedback / market validation - and explains exactly why the email your sending isn’t working
