How is "rest" a viable reason to miss games 2 games into the season? (alien.top)

Jimmy Butler missed yesterday's game due to "rest". It looks like there's a possibility Embiid sits today, also due to "rest". There's no injury listed on the injury report either. It literally just says "rest". How is that acceptable, especially after the NBA made a big stink about making players play this season? They've played TWO GAMES so far. If there's an injury, don't play, but I find it extra insulting, as a fan, that these guys are being so blatant about it. Rest? I'd love to call out if work and be able to give that excuse. Imagine being a fan going to either game. It's the Philly home opener, too!

These are the teams that won't go deep into the playoffs. You get into game shape by pushing. You reach that next level by exerting yourself. I guess if practice is too hard for them, maybe they can ask the coach to "rest". Fans deserve and should expect better.

As long as it's not a nationally televised game, I don't think the nba will make a big deal about it.
