And once again the NFL still hasn’t broken the No Fun League stereotype, but has expanded it to the college game

I'd like to see how this turns out. The school says they're using a slightly different color than the oilers, but it's also pretty obvious what they're doing.

The Memphis tigers have a helmet design that looks exactly like the Bengals helmet design other than colors (not just stripes on a helmet, but one of their designs their stripes are exactly the same as the Bengals), but I don't know that there's ever been an issue. Is being difficult colors good enough?

It's one thing when they're drastically different colors, but what about when the colors get close? Would black with orange stripes be ok? Would light orange and gray stripes be ok?

I'd like to see Legal Eagle break this down!

I don’t see how this could turn into a lawsuit unless there’s a proprietary color or copywrighten color scheme.

The NFL and the Titans can go fuck themselves, quite frankly.

UH didn't use a single reference to the Oilers on the uniform or any of the marketing. The color is (admittedly slightly) different. Everything on the uniform and marketing was a reference to Houston heritage and history (that blue has been used for far more than the Oilers in Houston).

This is non ironically cultural erasure. Even if the team moved the 36 years they played in Houston impacted the sporting culture of the city

Don't be lame NFL

I understand why they said that because they never came under an agreement with the titans to do that. Like how the Hawkeyes and Steelers did.

That’s on the University of Houston.
