I tried, tested and improved on a bunch of ideas until something clicked.
Think it's very rare that something that randomly pops up and it's a magical moment or something.
In reality it's more of working and trying till something clicks.

This reminds me of the scientific breakthrough adage. Very few eureka moments have led to big discoveries. Instead most stem from one expected outcome met with “that’s weird…”
You look at anything as a potential business opportunity and see if you could do it yourself. Then try and fail until something works out
I've failed like 5 times so far... so many different ideas. I just keep trying. Hoping my next idea pans out. And if it doesn't.. onto the next one :D
The best way to find the best ideas is to travel.
Go to other countries, see what’s popular there and if it’s already in your home country.
9/10 it’s not and is a huge opportunity for a market
That rarely works. Just traveling somewhere and not knowing the language won't get you to see what works there. And many businesses don't work in other countries anyway.
In my opinion it does work. You just need to be open to multiple ideas and only choose the best ones.
For example I went to Thailand and saw the popularity of rolled ice-cream.
In my country that doesn’t exist at all. Rolled ice cream uses the same phycology as subway meaning there’s a huge opportunity in my home country to capitalise on it.
You just need to look harder and be open to things that may seem unconventional
I've never had a perfect idea. I just try lots of things. Some work and soem don't. I don't overthink. I just give it a go. Here's some of the things I've tried over the last 20 years.

I like a change every 2-3 years. I get too bored otherwise.
You just continue to fail until you start to succeed
