I’ve been collecting for about 4 years now. Many pieces have come, and these are what’s left. There will be more but feeling pretty happy with what I have. However, I’d love for someone to roast my collection. I love watches but I also love the idea that they’re not serious. Let it rip and let me have it, roast the sh*t out of my collection.

What's there to roast? This collection is a perfect reflection of it's owner; soulless and more money than sense. 14 watches and you can't bring yourself to not do blackface on a dozen of them, which is probably an appropriate allegory for your personal beliefs. Sorry, I shouldn't forget the cookie cutter Casios, which are almost as obvious a beard for your horology chops as your trophy wife is for your limp-dicked masculinity. I'm surprised you had the foresight to take the plastic and tags off of them, as someone with a collection like this would never miss an opportunity to wear their "understated" Rolex or AP rather than be seen with something a commoner could afford. The only thing here that surprises me at all is that you don't have an "inconspicuous" black dial Patek Grand Complications hiding somewhere, so you can stunt on other boring, middle aged WASPs that think their gold Daytona is more expensive than anything you have, since it's obvious this entire hobby for you is nothing more than one more way to desperately attempt to show other people that you're worth something. I shudder to think of how ostentatious your wife's jewelry collection is to have allowed you to accrue a small fortune in terrible watches. I'm guessing it'll take quite the piece for her to finally let you get that Patek, more than the usual pearl necklaces your ADs have undoubtedly been giving her up to this point anyway.
Aside from the fact you need to cash in on some of these or buy a bigger box, there is one in there that screams to me louder than all the others because I cannot get on the AD waiting list for it, namely that Speedy which would look really cool next to my DSOTM. May I ask out of idle curiosity did you get it from an AD or grey ?

Your collection costs more than every car I’ve owned combined but it’s so vanilla that the Citizen bullhead is my easily my favourite.
I'm new to horology but have never seen a Tissot watch with a strap like that. What model is it? Seems pretty old but I like it.
I’m not really sure. It was my dad’s and he didn’t keep anything of it. It might be a PR200 but I’m really uncertain. It’s probably from the 90s.

u/AlexSabbagh No way you have the same Seiko Sport 5 as I do, it's so rare! I also have a two tone GMT and newer ref. of this Datejust - on a list for a date Sub as well.
Why the fuck anyone would spend this much on watches when they could spend the same on a boat, a helicopter or a small villa in the mountains is beyond me. It doesn't impress me at all. It seems absolutely batshot insane.
Have you considered (1) that they aren't trying to impress you; and (2) that maybe they can afford these watches AND a boat, helicopter, etc?
