I’m doing a complete series rewatch and I watched the movie again straight after season three. Wow, it still holds up and then some.

It’s one of the funniest and intelligently written comedy movies of the modern age.

The themes of parenting and censorship are so relevant to today, and with the latter being so near to Trey and Matt, they knocked the message out of the park (no pun intended)

It also just happens to be one of the most sincere musical films of all time, with the catchiest songs.

I remember seeing this back in the day

No you see South Park doesn’t have a theme or a point. They’re just telling fart jokes and owning the libs/cons. /s

Kinda blows my mind how many people in here with get high upvotes for misinterpreting the show. Agreed. The movie is super vulgar even I still cringe but it is a very intelligently written show and imo the best political/satirical cartoon ever made

Best. Musical. Ever.

You're absolutely right! My happy household hosts a handful of insufferably snotty music/art critics who've long mocked the "dirty cartoons" of which I'm so fond, but even those lofty cocks gotta admit that Bigger, Longer & Uncut is a cinematic masterpiece.

How has there not been another one?

Imaginationland was origonally written to be a movie and later got reedited into one.

I’m not interested in forcing people to like what I like but thanks

Stand down children. You can still see plenty of fart jokes on Nickelodeon.

Bro. You ain’t changing people’s minds on South Park. And the fact you think you have to is weird in itself. Matt n Trey don’t give a shit.

[–] Jesus_H-Christ@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah, in the movie they also do gay satanic sodomy. They've got it all!

[–] Dipsey_Jipsey@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

To be fair, it's only uptight 90s parents that say that.

fuck musicals though

[–] HeisenbergX@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Anybody who thinks that's all it is hasn't watched much of the show, if any. Thus their opinion means dick.

and they’ll say “yep i was right”

[–] Ancient_Advice_9174@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

They would be right, but those racist jokes are still clever.

I'll never get over my ex's grandparents going to see this on accident. They are 7th day Adventists and thought this was a children's movie in theaters? Everytime I watch I wonder exactly when they walked out. Can't see them making it past Uncle Fucker.

I too live by the phrase, What would Brian Boitano do?

[–] Arny520@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] OptimusCrime1984@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
