Let’s assume every top player from each country represented in the NFL takes part in the Olympic flag football tournament. How easy is the path to gold for the USA?

No one’s gonna care about watching if it’s amateurs. On the other hand, ratings will be insane if it’s a dream team of NFL players.

Depending on whether Samoa can convince Americans of Samoan heritage to play for them, they could be a solid chance for silver and an upset for gold. Tua as QB isn't bad at all.

Who would he throw to? Because flag is one QB and 6 receivers.

I mean imagine some massive Kiwi Rugby player as a Linebacker, or some random Jamaican sprinter covering Tyreek Hill. It’s going to be interesting to say the least, but if the US does a dream team gold is basically a gift.

Flag football is non contact.

There is a lot more to coverage than speed.

So no, I'm not going to imagine either of those things.

I mean, NFL players would certainly be better than the very best flag football league players. Everyone in competitive flag leagues played contact football until they weren't good enough to start in college or make the NFL

God hates flags.

I’ve thought about this and I’m honestly not sure. This would be 5 years from now so I can’t count on the best players of today to be as good in 2028 as they are now. Some guys will get injured or lose a step due to old age.
