So I've been using the Hyper X Cloud IIs for almost as long as I've had PCs. Recently decided to upgrade (partly due to HyperX changing ownership) to better ones, after a shit ton of watching reviews etc. decided on the Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro. I've been testing it and I have noticed 2 things; They are rather similiar in audio quality, except I find the DT 770 pro to be more "muffled" like all sounds just sound more "distant" like they arent actually near my ear and properly "hearable" like Cloud II. Like the sounds are way farther away or just "muffled"... And another one is that I need to really crank up the volume on my PC and still they sound too quiet. I basically have to almost max that shit out, windows volume and spotify, youtube etc. I think I might need an AMP? any AMP recommendations for a lets say around 100 dolar/euro budget. I know an AMP will make it louder, but will it improve the feeling of "muffleness" I get from them, or is that "muffleness" actually a good thing, the way good quality headphones are supposed to sound like? That it has more nuance and not everything is in your face, or what?

You probably need an amp.

If you're not in the EU, start with the apple USBC headphone dongle. It's only like $15 and should be a good improvement
