I use Home Assistant to monitor and/or control my whole house; lights, hvac, home theater, cameras, 3d printer, etc. It's not only secure open source software, it also uses its clout to fight companies that want to strip their devices of local APIs so they can charge for cloud services; see tp-link, Phillips Hue, and mazda to name a few.
I know your Kasa stuff will work through it but I don't know the others but at this point most stuff that can work with home automation does work with home assistant.
