Sync for Reddit pro cost me €2.69 in 2015. €23 is a bit of a step up.

My rent went from $850 to $2300

I expect the price to increase for sure. But still, I've got options and can choose.

No one said you can't. Just don't be surprised when prices aren't 2015 prices.

Lemmy has maybe 0.1% of the users Reddit has.

The dev can't rely on tens of thousands of people paying a dollar, he needs thousands of people to pay ten dollars. Or whatever the equivalent is.

I feel like $10 would be a lot more reasonable than the $25 it costs here.
