I have had an idea for an app I have wanted to create for almost a decade now. It seems with the technology now I might be able to take a shot at doing it myself. Wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this and could offer some advice/insight.

Doing it right now on webflow. Found a really good agency to have them develop the core product, then learned how to use webflow enough to edit and make small changes myself in the future. The barrier to entry will continue to rapidly lower over the next few years with ai. What’s the app?

Awesome I will have to check that out. Was the cost high to use an agency to develop your core product? And its a fairly simple interactive self-help app. I don't think it would be too crazy to design

I've done it using no code platforms but it was kind of a pain. Maybe they're a bit better now, hard to say, meaning your options are probably:

  1. Learn no code platforms like bubble and try to build an mvp there
  2. Learn to code, maybe supplement that knowledge with chat gpt and Strat building the app yourself
  3. Hire some developers
  4. Make a low tech mvp, try to raise capital, hire professionals software devs

Thank you! Did you feel with using a no code platform you were able to get it looking and feeling somewhat like you envisioned?

FlutterFlow is good if you want to build an app that works on Android and iOS. Still a steep learning curve though. You will be watching A LOT of YouTube videos.
