It's quite simple. The team worked at Madrid. Everyone had their role and everyone knew how the others played. Manchester have 11 headless chickens running around the pitch. Varane could play with France tomorrow and he'd be as good as everyone else. It's the same with casemiro

The problem with Rapha is his best games are past him already ,not that he's not good anymore .

Varane was declining already with Madrid - they often sell a season or two before it really happens

If Varane stayed, he'd still be a starter at Real Madrid. If he regressed that's Man United's fault, they didn't sell a faulty product, Man United just didn't know how to use him. Varane was one of the best center back.
