It seems like they always involve the AFC South, and I'm here for it
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
the most entertaining part is trying to figure out who Al Michaels bet on. he's the best
Not sure why people are being harsh on tonight's TNF game. I am sure it will be close and interesting.
no u
Oh man last years Colts Broncos game was the worst football game I have ever watched in my whole life and I was pleading it would go into overtime. When It did I knew it would be an all timer, I just wish it ended in a tie
16-13 Panthers win
My favorite is the Fail Mary, I was at that game. I'm a Seahawks fan, and the rest of my family are Packers fans. It was an awkward ride home lol.
the #MACtion of professional sports
Wouldn't it be easier to list good TNF games? Because every TNF game aside from maybe Thanksgiving day games are bad.
Easy math- Thursday night draws 3x the viewership that these shitty games would have drawn if played on top of other Sunday afternoon games…NFL is serving up trash because what the fuck else you gonna watch?
Honestly, I love games like this. I throw a party every year that we call "The Toilet Bowl." It has no set date, just when two of the worst teams in the league meet, we have too much to drink and have a laugh.
You know, now that you mention it, the party does seems to land on a Thursday every year.
games like these are exactly why the nfl pushed fantasy football and is currently pushing gambling on the public
Put him on the San Jose sharks broadcast instead tonight and if they win do the whole do you believe in miracles thing again
I had to watch 20 years of bad Buffalo Bills football on a weekly basis, you guys can sit through one game.
Bears are definitely better off winning this game and tanking the rest of the way.
I'm super into this match-up tonight. I want chaos. I want embarrassment. I want Al Michaels making fun of 2 moribund franchises with no hope and no future. 20 turnovers. Comical interceptions. Fumble pinball.
It's tough man I've been randomly getting recommended full broadcasts of 90s nfc Monday night football matchups on YouTube. Al is on some of them and is just great. I also think he's the best Madden gameplay commentator we ever got. Tough that it ends this way
I'm so sick of people bitching about primetime games as if the NFL can perfectly predict who will be fun to watch, or that games can magically be re-scheduled from Sunday to Thursday.
If you actually like football, there will be entertainment in this game. Records don't matter after kick off
Just the color rush jerseys from TNF were truly awful as well
Minor league hockey is great. TNF should hire the MST3K guys for commentary.
Dude, minor league hockey is way better than most TNF games.
Hey that is two time superbowl champ and KC playoff legend Chad Henne!
TNF would be vastly improved if all their games were division matchups. Won't always get a close game, but I believe there at least will be more people invested in it.
I don’t know why the NFL doesn’t just schedule post season rematches for the first 3 TNF games. Of course they should try to schedule an entire season of good prime time games before hand. But they should Then have the ability to flex the remaining TNF games based on current season performance.
Take last year for example. How many prime time games did the broncos have? Should have been flexed out of all of them as soon as it became apparent they were dumpster fires.
I love the NFL.
I hate Thursday games. (I'm not even a huge fan of the Thanksgiving games, because I rarely get to watch them due to Holiday activities.)
Part of what makes the NFL great is the "once per week" aspect. Then one last game on Monday to cap it off. Thursday games just ruin the flow. Not to mention the Thursday games put a bit of a wrench into fantasy football and office pool timelines.
And then to cap it all off, by forcing (nearly?) all teams to play a Thursday game each year, by definition it puts too many bad teams in those matchups.
TNF is the MACtion of the NFL
There was that Chiefs Raiders game that had like 3 untimed downs at the end of the game. That was fun.
Also remember the 1-7 Raiders vs 2-7 49ers in 2018, the Nick Mullen's game.
Only highlight tonight will be that Jason Kelce will be in Chicago for it, other than that wtf NFL, another trash primetime game with the two worst teams. Unbelievable
The 6-6 tie between Cards and Seahawks. Ended with two missed field goals. It was beautiful.
Cardinals 12, Rams 6 (Dec. 11, 2014) -- The King of Kaka. There's never been another Thursday night game as grotesque and unwatchable as this one. With Carson Palmer injured for the season, Arizona turned to Drew Stanton. Sam Bradford had been lost for the year during the preseason with an ACL tear, which meant Shaun Hill was under center for the Rams. Do we need to keep going? During the game, Stanton was sacked by rookie Aaron Donald, forcing him to also leave with a knee injury.
Third-stringer Ryan Lindley came in relief, going 4-of-10 for 30 yards... in a victory. Arizona overcame five penalties on its first two drives, and cobbled together four field goals from Chandler Catanzaro. Luckily for the Cardinals, the Rams' offense was an abomination. They finished 4-of-15 on third down, had six penalties, and turned the ball over twice. Tre Mason led the Rams in rushing with 33 yards. There's no lower moment in Thursday night history.
IDK what you are talking about, I'm personally excited for a DJ Moore revenge game.
I thought TNF could flex games this year what did we do to deserve this
AWS processed trillions of lines of data just to give us THIS matchup on TNF
Jesus, i don't follow the NFL religiously, but do enjoy turning it on on days it's on (you know, Sundays and Mondays). But never on Thursdays. How did it get so bad that it's now engrained in my mind that Thursdays are shit? How did we get to this? Who chooses these games?
Dolphins-Bengals 2013. The walk-off safety to win the game on Halloween night. Spooky indeed.
The TNF game last year when Marcus Mariota played a terrible game against the Panthers, culminating in this hilarious (almost) interception that I think about at least weekly. https://x.com/Theo_Williams_/status/1590915818250207232?s=20
Colts/Broncos was truly something.
Horrible games anyone signing up for prime games is a fool
Not to mention Al Michaels with the historically bad commentary
