Bijan has 103 carries to Tyler's 116.

Bijan is 22nd in rushing attempts, and is 41st in redzone rushing attempts (seriously what the actual fuck).

It is absolutely criminal his usage. Even if he was a 7th round pick, with that production, I would expect him to be RB1, but the EIGHTH pick to be used like this is shocking.

I cannot comprehend what Arthur Smith thinks is best for the team, when our 3 best offensive skill positions are basically just used as decoys.

Any Falcons fan could tell you that Kyle Pitts would be 1st team all pro on most teams, the man catches literally anything and is always open, but nah, Jonnu Smith is our guy.

If I was Arthur Smith I’d be limiting his touches and keeping his mileage down until there is a team built to actually make a push. RBs not named Derrick Henry tend to burn out relatively quickly under a RB1 workload

I mean isn't it kind of a good idea to spread out carries amongst RBs nowdays, to reduce wear & tear, and also keep them fresh in-game?

Unless Algeier is significantly worse (which I don't really know)?

The trust fund baby needs to get fired out of a cannon

As a Jonnu owner; I'm living in it

As a Bijan owner; I'm hating it

I don't know how to feel about Arthur Smith 😞

Arthur Smith clearly struggles with talent and you can see it across the board.

He can’t get anything out of Pitts, London and Bijan. Imagine what McVay, McDaniel, Shanahan could cook up with those three.

Run Bijan properly and then actually use him as a decoy in play action. Using him as a decoy every play without ever actually using him in the way you’re “faking” is just ridiculous.

Smith talks about his 50% RZ conversion but that’s be higher if times worried about Bijan. Then your TE end around might actually work.

Wait , Allgeir is RB1? Officially ?

Bijan should get the ball more, but the disrespect to Allgeier here is crazy.

I'm all for not running your best player in to the ground, but Tyler Allgeir having more carries and snaps is criminal lol.

A whole city will cheer when Smith is fired.

yet is RB2 to Tyler Allgeier.

In fact he's not RB2. He has almost twice the snap count as Allgeier. He has more total touches. In the Tampa game, he was out injured after just 1 touch, Allgeier would go on to have 24 total touches without Bijan. Excluding that Tampa game, The touch count is 130-103 in favor of Bijan. Allegier only has more touches in week 1, and last week. Week 1 should be expected, Bijan is a rookie, and Allgeier had a 1k season last year. Even last week, Allgeier had 1 more touch, yet only had 35% offensive snaps to Bijan's 61%

Bijan should absolutely be more involved, but in no way is he your RB2. Only real time Allgeier is your RB1 is when Bijan is injured. Being more involved can be said of many players on that offense tbf. Pitts at least needs more targets, he's a fantastic receiving TE.

While I agree with the nature of the post, players that don't get much work in the redzone, and specifically near the goal line, have a naturally inflated ypc. Just thought I'd throw that out there for additional context

Tom Herman sends his regards

[–] raceforseis21@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He was the eighth overall pick

[–] atlfalcons33rb@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why do people post this shit with out actually watching games.

Bijan is rb 1 not two, he has a small amount less carries because he missed a full game and has a considerable amount more of catches and targets.

Secondly bijan gets majority of his runs to the outside , algier is a better runner up the middle. That is why he was a 1k rusher last year. Bijan is used correctly

[–] SilentRanger42@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is the kind of shit we get when people only play fantasy and never actually watch games

[–] ozairh18@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

As someone who has Allgeier in two fantasy leagues, I’m okay with that

[–] BoredGuy2007@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The only people angry about this are fantasy football nerds. Allgeier isn't a bum.

[–] guanogato@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I mean they’re not going anywhere this year. Why wear him out? Seems like the smart long term move to me

[–] email253200@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No one has considered that maybe it’s something behind the scenes. Maybe he’s a terrible teammate or he skips meetings. Maybe they ARE saving him since this season is a wash and RBs have short life spans. Let’s all relax.

Coach is a genius. It will show eventually.

[–] Hampni@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Oh I know the answer to this one - it’s simple Arthur Smith is a dumb fuck. Plain and simple.

[–] Roxas146@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Serial lurker and longhorn fan here to tell you that there was once another head coach that underused Bijan during Bijan's first year with the team. That coach did not make it to the following season.
