“Idc bout yall parlays,” Monk tweeted early Thursday morning. And in a special guest appearance, his Sacramento Kings teammate Kevin Huerter joined the show to let bettors know he also doesn't care about their parlays. “Respectfully,” Huerter chimed in with. In summary

It's so fucking cringey seeing people yell at NBA players on Twitter because they lost money.

[–] Hefty-Lobster-5513@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Only king players I’m betting on is Fox and Sabonis.

I didn't think there would be a sports conversation I hated more than people talking about their fantasy team. All my coworkers talking about their bets makes me miss hearing about their fantasy teams.

[–] Statalyzer@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Agreed. And all the posters here too.

Huerter should have stayed shut the f*** up nobody asked him. Monk has my full respect. What was he supposed to say, "I just love shaving points for all you degenerate gamblers"?

[–] MadDogTannenOW@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What they are actually saying is, I don't care you believed I would actually contribute on the floor.

You should always bet the under on them and just take the Ls when they decide to make a few buckets

Anyone who gets mad at players because they lost on their props and parlays is a fucking moron.

I do a decent amount of betting and it’s baffling to me that people get mad at the players instead of being mad at their selves, motherfucker you were the one that made the bet.

I’m mean, I appreciate that. That’s what makes it fun. Is he supposed to?

[–] dissenterrr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Kings "star"? Is this your assertion? I don't see the word in the headline or article. Malik Monk is not a star player.

[–] stinky_pinky_brain@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

As a sports gambler, good! The players shouldn’t care.

Me jokingly: Malik monk to win reg season MVP parlay with FMVP

Malik: 👍👉”I like this guy here”

[–] Xterratu@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Peak journalism right there. That said, Monk is absolutely right.

I like gambling, but I put limits on myself so that I can still enjoy sports because once you stop looking at it as entertainment and start looking at it as a means of making money, you’re cooked.

[–] TerminallyChill_365@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He’s spittin

Fuck gambling and those annoying ass ads during every timeout

[–] Fedge348@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Gambling free for about 1.5 weeks now. It’s a losing proposition. Anybody who says they’re profitable after 5 years is a liar, or playing with extremely small sums of money.

-$700 over the course of about 5 years. Betting $25-$250

Gamblers love to tell you they are making a ton of cash, the reality is, 99% lose.

[–] betweenthebars34@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Parlays are incredibly hard to hit. You will lose money. Remember that everytime they hard sell you on draft kings/fanduel/etc (because it's all set up to stimulate you to play and lose)

[–] Jrobalmighty@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don't gamble for these very reasons.

You gd control if a coach gets upset or a ref tosses a player etc.

It's not just knowing a players capability but the likelihood that the player will or won't revert to their mean ability.

[–] TheBeardedInfidel@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

“Fuck lebron for going over his points when I put him at under. Like why is he even scoring in the first place? Let Davies score all the points instead bro”.

[–] thassa1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well outside of the unders you’re not in many there Malik

[–] electricHats75@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s obvious. Jaylen Brown too. Man’s averaged 26 last year but couldn’t give me at least 15. Ok
