What are you all’s personal favorites?

Mine are:

“The mayor is on my ass!” In Lil’ crime stoppers

Almost the entire plot of Asspen

Jock marine talking down to “Mr. Scientist” in Awesom-O

Edit: Title should read “….literature and media?”

"I am so startled" Randy upon encountering giant killer hamsters/gerbils (I forgot). Lives rent free in my head anytime a movie or something makes me jump.

[–] Kills-to-Die@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Spoofing 1972 Night of the Lepus with giant guinea pigs instead.

The whole high school musical episode

The Asspen episode making fun of cliche highschool coming-of-age films😂

Nathan and Mimsy (mafia boss and dumb henchman dynamic

[–] Ok-Inevitable-3038@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

In The Coon when he “disappears” (I’m over here now)

Cartman dicking family guy because his jokes are related to and progress the story forward

Console wars when the boss dies and Randy says “I really liked you”

[–] Still-Might-1756@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] Cyno01@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Probably the entirety of the cops racism

I watched Asspen last night. It’s not an episode I usually seek out but goddamn it is a classic.

[–] jerec84@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The whole Lice part of Lice Capades

[–] Still-Might-1756@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Mr scientist cracks me the fuck up 2

[–] HelmSpicy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think the Stanley's Cup episode is a classic because of how hard in the paint it goes on the Mighty Ducks/underdog redemption story theme... Just to have it all fall apart in the end

[–] zilch839@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It didn't fall apart. It just turned out it was the other team's (the Red Wings') story that day.

"Make Love, Not Warcraft" - I don't have a World of Warcraft account. Do you?
No, I have a life.

"Guitar Queer-O" - Cartman - Real guitars are for old people.

I will never not love the old man who gives foreboding warnings

[–] Shoresy-sez@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sometimes, dead is bettah.

[–] Skrumpei@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Cartman loudly and deliberately wondering what things were like in the days of Colonial America before getting knocked out to hallucinate about it.

[–] lilspark112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Their montages in general, but the one that really kills me is Cartman prepping for the special Olympics.

[–] Ckck96@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The whole Lil Crime Stoppers episode is great for this, especially the dynamic between the FBI and the local law enforcement.

They use this line a few times and it always puts me on the verge of tears cause of how stupid it is. "I gave that up"

[–] JaneLameName@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Superhero franchise episodes.

"Not everyone get their own movie, ok?"

[–] crush_n_puss@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jeff Goldblum’s character from Independence Day is great! ‘Who’s havin butt sex’?

[–] Blue-Krogan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
  • Cartman's Silly Hate Crime, Romper Stomper does the "go on without me" trope after he trips, and the "I want you to have these" trope. Cartman just agreeing in both instances than gets grilled after because the trope didn't play out like it was supposed to 🤣

  • I don't think it's really a trope, probably more like... I don't know the word, but anyway the episode where Cartman poses as a latino substitute teacher and teaches kids how to cheat. I think it parodied Stand and Deliever.

Anyway, it pretty much mocks every movie where a teacher is sent to a school in a rough neighborhood to help a class recognize and reach their full potential, and at the end they all graduate or something. It even gets it right down to that 1 student who walks out, then ends up swallowing his pride and comes back to the class. At the end of the movie the teacher and students are all friends. Examples: Coach Carter and Freedom Writers.

  • Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub, Stan learns that the kids that are always ripped on at school aren't so different from him. He then immediately 180s on his opinion when he meets up with Kyle lol

The scene where the Walmart manager goes insane and hangs himself. Truly would be an Oscar winning dramatic performance. Then he craps his pants when he dies and sprays the wall

Now you see my true form (rips off fake mustache)

[–] SamSepiol050991@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The “Fox Trap” in Splatty Tomato with the guy that looks like Sean Hannity made me crack up 😂

[–] artfuldodger1313@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

“Black Friday” - Cartman always plots against his friends/enemies in “The Garden of Betrayal”

Idk if this is a trope but in the first Towlie episode "do you know what it feels like to be really really dry? You don't want to know. And I don't know"

[–] CoralSpringsDHead@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I’m getting a raging clue!

Good times with weapons? With the badass anime fights, then a car drives be and sees them just flailing around.

Why is it so easy for children to break into the pentagon?

I love the ridiculousness of the choices given in the Go God Go between the three factions.

Who are you? Unified Athiest League? Allied Athiest Alliance? Or the United Athiest Alliance?

Also Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich.

A good one is the Dead Celebrities episode. The whole Zelda Rubinstein, Poltergeist thing. The 6th Sense reference, Exorcist. And those idiot ghost shows, making fun of the Ghost Hunters specifically. Crazy infomercial announcers, Billy May's and the stuff they sell with irrepressible enthusiasm.

My favorite episode off season 13 is Pinewood Derby. I guess it has more social and political tropes but it's great! Fun fact: It was the 2nd most-watched episode on Comedy Central the week it aired. Seen by 2.78 million households.
