Trying to pick out a birthday gift for my girlfriend who currently does not wear a watch. I’m deciding between the following and wondering if anyone owns these and can attest to their quality. $100-200 range.

-Timex North Pole or whatever, the Khaki knockoff. Seems the best value, but I wonder if a hand wound watch would be a pain for a non watch nerd.

-Seiko SNKE49, technically mens but its very thin, and the Seiko womens look positively minuscule

-Casio A10000D-7, the all metal Casio. It’s my favorite, but I wonder if non watch nerds would appreciate a Casio?

-Casio Tiffany womens, apparently the mens is always sold out but not the womens

-Swatch Piet Mondrain; she’s a teacher so this might be cool

-Vostok Kommandirsky; she’s a communist after all

Trying to think of this from the perspective of someone new to watches. Any other recommendations are appreciated, thanks very much!

If she likes to work out or likes to track her step count, she might prefer wearing a smartwatch daily. Sadly.

At that price range a lot of the Citizen eco drive watches are perfect. Basically never have to work about batteries and they keep excellent time. Lots of ladies styles to choose from and there's also the men's/unisex if the daintier lady's styles aren't her thing.

if she's not wearing a watch, i will suggest you buy something else. Unless she mentioned that she wanted a watch.

You can perhaps look at Citizen's ladies watch range.
