neoroxx86
no, it's a fashion brand watch
i own 3 Seiko, one of them has a misaligned cyclops lens for the date window. that's the only flaw i found
you have a strong personal style and i think anything goes for you. Normal fashion norms does not apply to you. I mean this in a good way. You can even put a cartoon watch on and still looks good on you.
Question: What kind of miner are you? Do you handle tools and machineries? Are there vibrations involved in your work?
coz I do not think mechanical watch is good for physical work that involves vibrations when using tools.

I am not sure how to define "average person" in your case. For day-to-day use, the QC issues aren't really affecting the functionality of the watch. Generally the QC issues are all cosmetics and it is more like an "eye-sore, unable to unsee thing" rather than affecting the functionality.
For the entry level 4R movement, they are a workhorse, durable but do not expect them to be very accurate. All my 4R movements runs 1 minutes fast in 2 days.

if you are considering to trim down your collection, I would say to keep 1 dive, 1 G-Shock and 1 of your chronograph.
Mido Baroncelli Chronograph Moonphase. The price is about $2900 which I think is a very good alternative to it if you want to save a little bit. The rose gold variant is my fav
