Hi, everyone.

I'll try and be concise, here.

My business is still very much in the baby stages. I'm offering coaching services for people who want to make their own comics/take their comics to the next level.

Here's what I've done, am doing and what I hope to achieve. I'd love some suggestions or an attaboy.

I have a YT channel that is growing slowly (www.youtube.com/brinkelai) centred around making comics. Edutainment, I think they call it.

I'm currently offering free 1-2-1 comic sessions with a few options for people via a simple Google Form (https://gforms.app/meo4fbV) and I've had a few responses and good feedback so far.

It's free because I'm trying to get good at it plus get an idea of common problems I can solve and use that to centre my marketing around.

For the future, it's a little bit foggy, but here's a general idea of what I have so far:

I'd create workshops with specific outcomes in mind (pre-recorded), like one for writers who have never written for comics before that I'd sell between $50-150.

I'd charge for the 1-2-1 coaching over a series of weeks. I was thinking $500 for 6 weeks.

I'd then look to upscale and do group cohorts for a little more money $7-800 per person for a group of 20 lasting 6-8 weeks.

I think that's it, although I'll happily answer any questions or provide additional information. I'm very much hear to learn.

Thank you.

launch it, today, with those costs. but. cross out all the fees, and say 'for one week only - free' (or whatever amount you feel) - when you coach these ppl, ask them, 'how much woudl yu pay for the full course? what would you like to learn more about that you haven't learn so far'

go from there, your customers will tell you what to add.

then ask them, did you enjoy it? can you recommend 1,2 more ppl who might enjoy it? would you like to renew at at discount?

one common theme is offering a patreon, so that would be a good option for you as well

I've put out feelers about how much people would pay for a coaching course and I got very few responses. Of those responses (3, I think) the general consensus was "nothing".

Not a huge data set to pull from, but it's one of the reasons I've offered the free route to get people through the door and ask them directly.

Ooh yes, I have a Patreon and I remembered that I was going to offer a tier that included discord access, so they could continue to ask questions etc after the coaching at like $50 a month (I can't monetize discord directly because it's US only apparently).

I would recommend charging a small amount though. Otherwise you will have attendance issues, but even $10 can make people commit to coming.
